2024 Review

2024 Review

Support DonsAction in 2025!

As 2024 comes to an end, all of us at DonsAction would like to thank everyone for their support throughout the year. 2024 has arguably been our biggest year to date, and it wouldn’t have been possible without all of you.

We began the year by launching this website, which has really changed the game for us. Since January, nearly 800 of you have signed up as members and you have viewed our articles over 16,000 times. We’ve raised £3306 (before fees) through the site this year, thanks to your donations. This has allowed us to produce some of our biggest projects to date, including our first full Block 11 display. We are currently in discussions with the club about our next idea, using the remaining funds from this year, and we hope to have an update for you all in early 2025.

We then launched DonsAction FC this summer, which has been a massive success so far! DAFC end the year undefeated in the league at the top of the table, and they will look to continue their fine form in the new year. There is a huge game for the team on the 5th January at Fairfields as they take on 3rd place Grid City (10:30AM KO). It would be great to see our members getting over to support the team in what could be a critical game in the title race…

In more recent months, we have been extremely grateful for the generosity from so many of you in times of need. The quick response to help us fix the drum was massively appreciated by us all. That said, nothing comes close to how we saw the MK Dons community come together to remember George Baldock. The support you gave us to produce our tribute, as well as when we all came together to remember George before the game against Port Vale, were both incredibly moving moments.

Finally, we can’t end this without a look to the future. 2024 has seen changes at this football club that not many would’ve seen coming at the start of the year. And whilst the results are still far from perfect, we are incredibly excited about the direction this football club should be heading in, under the current leadership.

We start 2025 with an incredibly important month, beginning tomorrow at Chesterfield. The 2 other key fixtures for us in January are the trip to Walsall on the 18th, and then AFC come to our City a week later on the 25th. Our away guide for Walsall will be available soon, it will include train times from MKC, and we want us all travelling together for this one. We will also have an update soon for those looking to plan their day before and after the AFC game, watch this space…

We hope you all enjoy whatever you’re up to today on New Year’s Eve, and we look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. Let’s get behind Scott and the team, let’s start the year right.
